Just remember that from iTunes 9 to iTunes 12 it will look completely different as the interface has changed completely! Never change any of the files and if upgrading from Apple Software Upgrade doesn't work, use you Admin account and let the newer update overwrite the older file. iTunes 12 will automatically install and erase the older version and you should have a working program. What works for me, if your iTunes is fine and works, don't change anything until a newer version comes out which automatically erases any older version. the file is always located in your TEMP folder which no one can access without going thru a long process of trying to find which TEMP folder has the file. The file is deleted if you cleaned out your temporary installation folders.
